When you would rather fund a block of training up front, the school works with AOPA Finance and Flight Training Finance, and points students toward the aviation scholarships that fund a real share of flight training every year.

Financing questions, answered

How much does it cost to earn a Private Pilot License?

It depends mostly on how often you fly, so TWO2FLY AVIATION publishes rates rather than a package price: instruction is $65 an hour and the Cessna 150L trainers are $135 an hour with fuel included, so a typical training hour lands around $200. You pay lesson by lesson as you go. Tell us how many times a month you can realistically fly and we will give you a real number for your situation.

Can I finance my flight training?

Yes. Most students simply pay as they go, lesson by lesson, which needs no financing at all. If you would rather fund a block of training up front, the school works with AOPA Finance and Flight Training Finance, and points students toward aviation scholarships such as the AOPA Foundation and EAA Flight Training awards.

What does financing actually cover?

Financing generally covers the flying itself — aircraft and instruction. Budget separately for the things around it: an FAA medical certificate, books and study materials, a headset, and the FAA written and practical test fees. Ask us to walk through the whole list before you borrow anything.

Do I need to finance the whole program up front?

No. Pay-as-you-go is how most students here train — you are billed per lesson, and you can stop, pause or slow down whenever life requires it. Financing a block of training up front is an option if you want to lock in a pace, not a requirement.
